Music theory Videos

YAMS is providing free music theory videos to the public through our Youtube channel! Tune in every Friday to access our intermediate music theory course and lessons to help you improve your knowledge. We will be covering knowledge points of Levels 3-4, including key signatures, intervals, chords, classical performers, and more.

1-on-1 Practice Sessions

YAMS held 1-on-1 Practice Sessions over the summer for student musicians to practice their skills. Students learned 1-on-1 with a skilled high school musician from the YAMS community. There was a wide range of instruments and tutors, as well as flexible scheduling to meet students’ availability.

Music Connect Program

With a program targeted towards younger students, YAMS created the Music Connect Program, a free introduction to the world of music. The course included an introduction to music theory and exploration of different cultures and instruments represented in music.

Music Theory Lessons

YAMS believes that music theory is one of the most important things to learn when playing an instrument. With that in mind, YAMS offered beginner and intermediate music theory classes for elementary and middle school students. These sessions were all a success and the students and teachers both had a really great time.
