Our Mission
We are YAMS
The Young Artists Music Society (YAMS) is a youth-driven performance group under Compassion Bridge Corporation, a startup non-profit organization. YAMS provides music services to senior centers and people who love music but have limited access to concerts. YAMS’ goals are to share our love of music with others and use music to help others.

Lucy Chen
Lucy is the President of YAMS, and she manages all department functions as well as works with the executive team to come up with new ideas for YAMS events. Lucy is very passionate about music – she composes music and plays the piano and violin, and often arranges music for YAMS. Other than music, Lucy enjoys learning about economics and business, and she loves skiing in the winter.
Daphne Wen

Daphne is a Co-President of YAMS. She manages the secretary and outreach departments and works closely with the executive team to organize events. Daphne has been playing violin since age four and has won various competitions. Outside of YAMS and violin, Daphne enjoys swimming year-round and playing volleyball with her friends.
Dan Huang
co-president
Dan is a Co-President of YAMS. He manages departments and works with the executive team to organize YAMS events. Dan plays both flute and bass and has participated in several honors ensembles. He is also the founder and leader of the 270 Jazz Orchestra and arranges most of the songs for the Orchestra.

Isabel Liu
President of VA chapter
Isabel is the President of the Virginia Chapter, and she plans the concerts in Northern Virginia and collaborates with our outreach officers to organize tutoring schedules. She played piano competitively for several years before shifting to flute as a hobby. Outside of music, Isabel loves spending time with friends, drawing, dancing, and learning new things.
Yixuan Li

Yixuan Li is a VP of YAMS. He has played the violin for 8 years and has won regional and national competitions. He is a violinist in the MCYO Philharmonic and the CYD Trio. Other than volunteering and playing music, Yixuan enjoys doing robotics and walking his dogs.
Amy Chen
Vice president
Amy Chen is the video editor of YAMS and works with the rest of the video team to create promotional and advertisement videos, informational videos, virtual performance videos, etc. She plays violin in the MCYO Philharmonic. In her free time, she enjoys fashion design, drawing, and playing music.

Social media
Niuniu Zhang is the officer in charge of Social Media, where she is responsible of posting for our YAMS socials, and she also helps with graphic design. She is currently a 9th grader at Holton-Arms school. She has been singing at a competitive level since she was 6 years old. In her free time she likes to walk her dogs, sing, draw, and bake.
Marilyn Huang
Graphic design
Marilyn Huang is an officer of Graphic Design, where she helps create social media posts for YAMS concerts and events. She is a 10th grader at Wootton High School and has been playing cello for 6 years and piano for 10 years. Her hobbies include playing Dress to Impress on Roblox, binge watching dramas, and drawing
William Hsieh
Graphic Design
William, a ninth grader at Richard Montgomery HS, studies piano with Dr. Ivo Kaltchev. He has won top prizes at major competitions like the Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition and the International Young Artist Piano Competition. In 2022, he debuted with the Levine Chamber Orchestra and performed in venues such as the DiMenna Center in New York and the Conservatoire of Music in Puerto Rico. He has also studied with renowned pianists at the Puerto Rico International Music Festival. William is a graphic designer for YAMS, and creates a multitude of social media and promotional content for the organization.

Aidan Song is the Web Developer, where he consistently updates the YAMS website with important information. He is a 10th grader at Wootton High School and has been playing violin for 8 years. In his free time, he likes photography, skiing, and hiking.
